One of the neatest old untouched frontier hunter’s leather combination long barreled revolver flap holster and knife sheath we have seen in some time; the integrated outfit is in overall well- worn condition and appears to be circa 1850’s to1870’s showing period markings including border tooling and personalized lettering including worn “HBUC” on the front of the holster along with a stamping “J.G. Rigor” and “BUNN” carved at the top front of the holster; the sheath is tooled andcopper riveted to the body of the holster as is the flap for both and the flap is secured by a period leather thong; the bottom of the holster is reinforced with an additional boot of leather and has been with this rig for the majority of itslife given the even wear and condition to the balance of the rig. Retained with this lot is an old unmarked knife which is approx. 9-1/2” overall with a sharpened 5-1/2” blade and well-worn wood handle also included is and old brass cleaningrod. From the estate of C.W. Slagle. Est.: $200-$400.
