they were made for R Ellyson "Tex" Ewell, rowells are marked Tex 1926, included is an attache case with a picture of Tex wearing the spurs, his 1917 US Cavalry discharge papers, a hand written will, 1905 Sunday school membership, 1st Cavalry Dec 1, 1916 document, pages and pages of hand written experiences, instructions etc, also a typed copy of such, and 4 early western books which are dated and have the location of the ranch he was working on at that time, mostly Bakersfield and Red Bluff areas, an attache case full of info, very interesting part of Calif and western history
