One-of-a-kind highly customized and engraved and signed by Master engraver Dennis A Kies, Colt SAA Sheriff's Model, .44 Russian and S&W Special cal., 3" barrel, nickel finish with inked background, Tiffany raised engraved grips, #SA40446. This third generation Colt is in like new condition with extensive floral scroll coverage on all parts including the front sight, hammer and loading gate. The Tiffany style grips are a work of art in and of themselves showing the classic raised battle scenes on both sides, stand-of-flags on the rear, spread eagle on the butt and a stylized "D" in an oval plaque at the rear top of the all metal grips. This work of art was accomplished in 1980 and reportedly is the only Colt SAA manufactured in this rare caliber since 1940. Dennis Kies work is greatly sought after by collectors and this is one of the best displays of his talent the cataloger has had the opportunity to view. Accompanied with Kies documentation.
