A) Top barrel flat script marked "Ross & Alexander" with the left flat stamped "32 RF / ROOK NEWLY". Fixed sights and smooth straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The rifle has a smooth brown patina with traces of blue finish in and around the protected areas. There is some very scattered mild pitting. The refinished stock is very fine with a few minor handling marks.

B) Single bead sight on solid rib marked "R.B. RODDA & CO GUN MAKERS TO H.E. THE VICEROY & H.R.H. THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH. LONDON & CALCUTTA". Tight scroll engraved under lever action marked "R.B. RODDA / & Co" on both sides with "crown/V" proofs on watertable and a safety lever on the right side. Checkered straight grip stock with checkered bare butt. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Condition: Very good. The barrels retain 50% of the damascus pattern with a smooth brown patina with some minor pitting on the underside near the breech. The remaining metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina and there is some very scattered mild pitting with some deeper pitting on the lower tang. The freshened stock wood is very good with some minor dings and scratches with a few minor gouges and worn checkering. Thee forearm has turned very dark.
