One Indian Themed Bronze Statue and Two Bronze Wall Plaques
Manufacturer: None Model: None
Copy of Carl Kauba's Chief Wolf Robe. The Chief stands with a peace pipe in one hand, his shrouded robe in the other and is dressed in native attire. The polychromed statue stands on a 5"x 5" square black marble plinth and stands approximately 21 1/2" tall. Two 4"x 3 1/4" Indian bronze wall plaques, one depicting an Indian warrior and the other of an old Indian man. The pair were crafted by Charles Marion Russell (1864-1927) and signed "CMR" on the back of the warrior and "CMRUSSELL" on the back of the other. These plaques were sold by Abercrombie & Fitch, New York City in the mid 20th Century. The Indian Chief swivels on it's base, otherwise very good, and the two plaques are also very good.
