1) This contemporary sword measures 46 inches in overall length, with a 40 1/2 inch double edged blade, featuring a diamond cross section from the tip backwards, leading to a hexagonal pattern at the fullers, and concluding with a square ricasso enclosed by the cup. The cross guard shows a raised leafy pattern, with upturned finger rests, a twist-pattern knuckleguard and long straight quillions, 11 inches long, supporting the cup, which is cut-through in a scroll patterned strip, which covers most of the surface in a spiral wrapping it's way up, and culminating with a leafy floral design around the blade. Outfitted with a twisted wire grip, formed in a twisting ribbed pattern, with a flattened ball pommel cut in a spiral profile matching the cup. 2) 19th Century main-gauche parrying dagger, 18 3/4 inches overall, with a 14 inch file work decorated blade, pierced holes and thumb rest on the ricasso. 9 1/2 inch floral tipped cross guard, with a ribbed and twisted wire grip, twist pattern round pommel, and a pierced-through guard with a bust of a man wearing a laurel on the front. 3) 19th Century parrying dagger, as 2 with 19 1/2 inch overall length, 14 1/4 inch blade, 10 1/4 inch cross guard, and a twisted wire grip. 1) Very fine, with a dark gray patina and mild spotting overall. All of the grip material is present and accounted for, the blade is nearly perfectly straight, and all the fittings are rock solid. 2) Fine, with a mixed gray patina, scattered pitting, and some play in the guard. 3) Fine, with a mixed gray and brown patina overall, showing mild spotting, a small bend in the tip, and play in the guard.
