When you was here you promist to come and make me another visit but I heard by the way of Mr. Dunfee that you was not coming and I should like to know the reason, for I thought that it was the understanding betwixt us to be unite in matrimony if our minds continued the same...I am willing to meet any person face to face respecting any reports as respect my character and if you have been kept from fulfilling your promise to me on the account of any reports...you have done very wrong...You may think that I am trying to flatter or entice you but this is not the case...." 3 x 5 1/2 blank portion back panel lacking, perhaps used for writing paper, some foxing, else good.
