His impassioned speech to Rod Steiger, "I coulda been a contender, I coulda been somebody," sung to a generation of youths, lost in society and looking for answers to their futures. The film went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture of the Year and is remembered as one of the best films of the 1950s. This copy has some very tiny tears in the borders (which haven't been airbrushed) and slight color touch to a couple of tears in the bridge of Brando's nose.
