George Lazenby was provided the most compelling story of the series and a great supporting cast (Telly Savalas, Diana Rigg and Joanna Lumley), but the studio bungled the transition between Sean Connery and Lazenby. Since Lazenby was a virtual unknown when he was cast, teaser advertising, like this one sheet featuring a faceless Bond, emphasized the iconic character rather than the new actor. United Artists would later say that this marketing strategy was a mistake which hurt the film's performance at the box office. This fabulous condition one sheet is flat folded with no vertical fold! The clay-coated stock that this poster was printed on is infamous for chipping at the folds, fortunately, this poster only has that problem on the three horizontal folds. There is a pinhole in each corner, otherwise this poster is in excellent condition.
