An Ome Professional Series Sweetgrass five-string, open back banjo, signed on the inside of the rim by Ome's founder and legendary Boulder, Colorado banjo maker, Chuck Ogsbury. The banjo was purchased directly from Ome in 2012. Neck: the neck is select curly maple; 26.25in scale and 1/28in nut width; 22 fret ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard; two-way adjustable truss rod; abalone shell inlays; Victorian peghead with ebony overlay; boat-shaped ebony capped heel; inlaid front and side position markers; hardened nickel-silver frets and bone string nut; Capo spikes at 7th and 9th frets; Ome Planetary tuners with amber knobs. Body: polished lacquer finish; 11in two-ply maple rim with vintage tone ring; ebonite capped and simulated tortoise bound rim; 24/11in rim brackets and Sweetone tailpiece; heavy notched tension hoop and Renaissance head; two adjustable brass rim rods; rosewood armrest and trillium bridge; nickel hardware.Serial number 5800. Condition overall like new. The banjo comes with the original padded case and cover, a wrench for tone ring adjustments, and a leather strap.
