<B>Omar Khayyam. </B></I><B><I>Rubaiyat</B></I></B></I><B>.</B></I> Boston: James Osgood and Company, 1878. <BR>First American edition. Twelvemo. 78 pages.<BR><BR>Brown cloth stamped and lettered in gilt and black. Wear to spine, moderate rubbing and bumping of cover edges and corners. Hinges a bit loose. Interior leaves are lightly foxed, else in very good condition. Former owner's inscription on flyleaf, other handwritten notations.<BR><BR>Khayyam is best known for his poetry, although he was also a great mathematician, philosopher and astronomer.
