The Bradley letter, dated November 1, 1967, in part: “This is certainly sufficient advance notice. However, I get so many invitations to speak that I just do not have the time to prepare the speeches and for some time have been declining all of them unless they are connected with one of the many projects in which I am actively associated”; the Clark letter, dated November 20, 1967, in part: “Nothing would please me more than to be with you and your fine cadets, but Mrs. Clark and I have planned a trip to Europe at that time, so I will be unable to be with you.” In overall fine condition, with two punch holes to the top of each letter.
