Monochromo whistle (flute), Twin Bats joined together originally. This exceedingly rare item, sculptured from rock was made by the Olmec people (Atlantic Coast of Mexico) finally found its way to the Nicoya region (Nicaragua, etc). This was sculptured during the pre-classical period, which pre-dates ceramic pottery, dating back from 1000BC to 4000BC. The Olmec people were very ritualistic, the twin bats were broken apart (one into small pieces) representing the death of its owner and buried with him. The other part of the twin, (the survivor) also buried with the owner, supposedly to guide him to his next life, very rare, one-of-a-kind, measures ~3" x ~2", 1000BC plus.
