In full: “I have brought with me here, to this quiet and beautiful spot, your letter and the attractive cards you have sent me so faithfully on my birthday and at Christmas time. Many family and professional obligations have made if difficult for me to write, but I know you have understood this, and have felt my gratitude for your thoughtfulness. As to my recent activities, I have completed three T.V. Specials: AND THE WINNER IS, aired by ABC February 13; The CBS AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE SALUTE TO BETTE DAVIS, to be broadcast March 21; and NBC’s THE TOP TWELVE slated for a May 1st showing. These and previous appointments for the forthcoming opening of AIRPORT ‘77 have made the past months exceptionally busy. Easter will soon be here, and I shall be hoping that yours will be a particularly happy one this year.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
