<B>Oliver Wolcott Autograph Document Signed</B></I> “<I>O. Wolcott</B></I>”. One page, 8.25” x 7”, March 24, 1786, in ink. Oliver Wolcott, Sr. (1726-1797) has signed this legal document in his capacity as judge. Wolcott had a varied and distinguished career. He served with distinction during the French and Indian War, served as a general in the Connecticut militia during the American Revolution, and was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Later in his career he would serve as Lieutenant Governor and eventually Governor of Connecticut. The document displays the usual fold creases, tape repairs on the verso, and soiling, else good condition. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
