Ellsworth instructs the Treasurer to “pay Capt. William Orcutt Eighty Six pounds to improve toward raising a Company in Col. Enos Battalion for the Winter Campaign.” Signed at the conclusion by Ellsworth, who also dockets the reverse. Show-through from writing on reverse, intersecting folds, and some scattered light toning, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
