Third Chief Justice of the United States and delegate to the Constitutional Congress who later submitted the amendments which became the Bill of Rights. Jonas Prentice, as Paymaster of his own Company now to be by him ran—Eight hundred and fifty two pound—by the band of Col. Jonathan Fitch—& charge the Colony—Hartford June 20th, 1776.” Matted with a steel engraving print of Ellsworth, to an overall size of 20.75 x 13.75.
