Celebrated Swedish-American opera diva (1871–1951). ALS, one page, 5.25 x 6.75, October 8. Fremstad writes a Mr. LaForge. In full: “Many thanks for your card. I could not find the gentleman in question before leaving for Maine. Shall continue the search on my return to New York.” She has added the postscript: “How shall I reach the Baldwin Piano Co. No such address in Telephone book.” In fine condition, with trivial soiling and a light vertical line of toning along the left edge.
