These items came from the old Frontier Relics Museum at Dos Cabezas, AZ. They were in an area labeled “Found at Point of Mountain Stage Station”. Mr. Mickens, former owner and curator of the museum covered many old historical sites in the Southwest (with permission) and preserved the relics found in the museum. According to a quote from Will Barnes (scout for the Army during the Apache wars) he said “Point of Mountain stage station was operated by Thomas Steele starting in 1873 and it was abandoned in 1889.” Barnes also wrote that a stage he had been riding on was attacked by the Apache Victorio and his band just miles east of the station.
