Unique collection of rare surviving props and set decor pieces from Old Tucson Studios, some of which were acquired from other production houses by Robert Shelton. Includes: an ornately decorated sword with leather scabbard, featuring scrollwork with a red-and-blue crest on the guard, with matching designs along the first quarter of the blade; a thick leather waist belt; a golden Egyptian gladiator staff with a knob at one end and sharpened spear point at the other; a wood-and-leather circular war shield; a gray British policeman's helmet, with a photograph of Shelton purchasing 1900 wardrobe pieces from an MGM auction (this style of police helmet seen in the image); four gray hat stands; a small wooden printing press prop; and a brass candle holder with glass windows on all four sides. In overall very good to fine condition. As most of Old Tucson's set, prop, and wardrobe elements were consumed in the studio's 1995 fire, any surviving pieces are highly desirable, and the diversity of this lot makes it especially interesting.
