This is a fabulous old pawn Navajo second phase concho belt dating to circa 1940-1950's. The belt shows a heavy construction and in classic second phase (2nd phase) design it has soldered copper loops on the back of each concho with heavy stamping and cold chiseling. The belt consist of a classic second phase bowtie pattern buckle on a trade leather belt with nine classic second phase oval concho / conchas, each being backed in trade leather. The buckle is stamped STERLING and the entire piece dates to circa 1940-1950's. The heavy sterling silver has excellent silversmithing workmanship and original patina coloring. Overall the piece measures 41-inches long, buckle is 3 1/8-inches by 2 3/8-inches, and each concho is 3.25-inches by 2 3/8-inches. Total weight of 528.8 grams.
