Purchased in Paris, France. A very nice pair of 1830's Louis Philippe period room potpourris in the form of Scottish Highland hunters wearing plaid kilts and gold gilt horn on there belt. In the style of Jacob Petit. The stoppers are in the form of gold gilt plums on there hats that come off. The figures are holding bows and at there feet are displayed there catch of the day.In bourgeoisie homes in France and America bottles like theses were filled with very string liquid potpourri. Before guest would visit servants would take the lids off and fan the tops so that the sent would perfume the room. Height 7" 1/2 inches tall by 5" inches wide
