Maps, pictures, postcards, labels, passenger records, Honolulu Pleasanton Hotel picture-guide booklet, Libby's pineapple promotional booklet, and other guidebooks from someone's 1916 Hawai'i vacation where they arrived by steamer from San Pedro to Honolulu. Many of the locations captured in the pictures have changed significantly in current day. For example, the still-standing Waikƒ´kƒ´ Aquarium was then known as Honolulu Aquarium, and it was owned by Honolulu Rapid Transit and Land Company (defunct company as of 1970). Some of these pictures are scarce, not yet appearing on https://imagesofoldhawaii.com/ , one of the most thorough publicly available archives about historic Hawai'i online. Most of their vacation, if not all, was spent on the island of O'ahu. Also included are Oceanic Steamship Co. playing cards with a b&w image of a muscular Native Hawaiian fishing by spear on the "Joker" card. The back of the cards feature the image of a Native Hawaiian woman posing with a ukulele. Playing cards have not been reviewed for a complete deck, though the deck appears to be mostly complete. Lot in good condition. Pages are 6x9.5" or smaller, approximately 80 pages of ephemera, not counting individual playing cards. See photo.
