Featured in this lot is this Ojibwa unstrung miniature model snowshoe frames. The snowshoe frames are wonderfully and professionally crafted wooden construction that shows formed construction that shows two supporting bard inside with a rounded frame that is bonded together with leather strings. The holes are drilled to string the snowshoe netting and they are already lined up. The Ojibwe, Ojibwa, Chippewa, or Saulteaux are an Anishinaabe people in what is currently southern Canada, the northern Midwestern United States, and Northern Plains. They are Indigenous peoples of the Subarctic and Northeastern Woodlands. The condition of this pair of snowshoes frame is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the frame but is not strung with the netting of the snowshoes but otherwise shows well preserved condition. The measurements of this pair of snowshoes is 12 5/8" x 3 7/8". The collective weight of this pair of snowshoes frame is U6oz.
