This is an original work of art oil painting on board titled, “In Port” by Edward Norton Ward. Edward Norton Ward (b.1928-) is a native Californian and was a student of the late Joshua Meador. He is a member in the Carmel Art Association (where he served as president for 3 years) and is an Artist Member of the California Art Club and Charter Member of the Society of American Impressionists. He is known for his impressive paintings of Northern California, Taos, Sante Fe, Montana, and Alaska. The painting is signed lower right and shows various impressive boats at harbor. The piece shows beautiful quality and is professionally framed in gilt wood. The painting is 24"x30" (one of the larger examples of his works). The frame is 33.25"x39.25". This sold from Miner's Gallery Americana Inc. Carmel, Calif. in the 1970-1990's for nearly $3,000.
