<B>Ogoni (Nigeria)</B></I><BR>Mask, <I>Elu</B></I><BR>Wood, pigment<BR>Height: 8 ½ inches Width: 6 5/8 inches Depth: 4 ¾ inches<BR><BR>This white-faced mask has details picked out in black, such as the pigtailed hairstyle with a white center part, suggesting that this mask played a female character. Note the cane teeth inside the open jaw. The front of the nose is abraded; otherwise, the condition is relatively good.<BR><BR>Functions are indicated in the lot above.<BR><BR>Provenance: H.
