TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, February 1, 1956. Letter to Ken Browne, in part: "I have a phobia about photographs of myself. I really have none around the house. My publishers and publicity people have them but I am much happier when I have nothing to do with them. I hope the sketch you will find below (for which there is no charge) will satisfy your baffling thirst for a glimpse of my mush. Yes, I am working on a couple of books at the moment. One will be a new collection of magazine verse and the other is a long narrative Christmas poem for children. You ask me which of my works I consider the best. I like some of the things in all of the books and dislike many things in all of the books. There is so much that doesn't stand up after five or ten years that I am pleased to find anything that does." At the end of the letter, Nash sketches a simple line drawing self-portrait of his glasses-wearing visage. In very good condition, with light creasing, stale holes to the upper left corner, and light irregular overall toning. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
