<B>Ogden Nash: Signed Slipcased Edition of <I>Many Long Years Ago</B></I>.</B></I> (Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1945), 333 pages, red cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and front board, 8vo (5.25" x 7.75"), no dust jacket, clear Mylar protective jacket. Deckled fore-edge. Signed "<I>Ogden Nash</B></I>" on the front free endpaper below a previous owner's inscription. A compendium of Nash's favorite poems from five previously released works plus 31 previously unpublished poems. The book is in good condition, with moderate shelf wear, lightly bumped corners, some fading to the edges, especially at the top right corner of the front board. The textblock is largely clean and bright, with some soiling to the top edge. Front hinge starting at the title page. The book comes housed in a custom red quarter leather slipcase with gilt titles and five raised bands on the spine. Ogden Nash's signature is scarce, and signed editions of his book are rare.
