The Roman Legion Soldier Stands Nude, Except For Some Regalia, Looking To The Horizon Of A Scarred Battlefield. A Top Of His Head He Wears A Galea, Which Is A Soldier'S Helmet. A Baldric Straps Across His Chest Which Is Leather Belt Typically Used To Carry A Weapon. His Paludamentum, Which Is Cloak Usually Fastened To One Shoulder, Slides Down His Back Falling In Between His Legs. A Shield Rests On Shins As He Fashions To Repair A Weapon. The Bronze Sculpture Was Cast Using The Age-Old Method Of Lost-Wax Casting And Stained With A Brown Patina Finish For Perpetuation. It Is Mounted Upon A Black Marble Base. Bronze Dimensions With Marble Base: Height 16 X Width 10 inches. Weight: 20 Lbs.
