This ORIGINAL Drawing of the U.S.S. MONITOR was done by JOSEPH HINDS, a Naval Illustrator and Researcher. The Monitor was the prototype turreted armored warship that changed the course of Naval warfare forever. This drawing is ALL HAND DRAWN and the media used was: Gouache-Airbrush, Watercolor, and Ink Handbrush. The wooden frame was done according to the Archival Standards of the Library of Congress. This ORIGINAL Drawing measuring 48" x 20", was completed in 2001 after 2 years of research, and I have the 'Agreement of Original Transfer of Work of Art' that will accompany the drawing upon completetion of the sale. This Drawing of the U.S.S. MONITOR has recently been on exhibit at the Hampton NAVAL MUSEUM.
