<td width="100%">
Pair of Chinese Export Orange Fitzhugh Plates measuring 5 1/4" in diameter. The back side of these plates is marked MADE IN CHINA in a rectangular box. This dates them after 1921 as a provision in the Taft-Hartley Law that regulated export items coming into United States of America.
Beautiful ornate designs of orange and gold. The middle small central decoration is very unusual as it appears there is a quadrant of small animals that resemble a greyhound. One plate is in Average Fair Condition and the other plate has a couple of flicks or nicks and nips on the rim that can be felt and seen. Some minor edge restoration. Not as early or as Great Quality in Orange Fitzhugh that we normally have in our inventory BUT orange fitzhugh and the other colors
such as sepia,black,yellow,raspberry, etc have become very hard to find. Just recently I saw 19th century orange fitzhugh dinner plates set of 8 and a soup tureen for $38,000.00
