General, 12th Army Group; senior commander of US ground troops in invasion of Europe in 1944; chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff after 1949. Offered are two artifacts donated by Bradley to the Navy Relief fund auction, Lot No. 72, accompanied by auction ticket boldly signed by him at bottom margin. Included are a brown leather 36" general officer’s belt made by Hickok and designed by George Patton which he patterned after the Confederate officers belt issued only to generals. The circular gold plate buckle displays the US eagle seal with wreath on clasp. Silver snap adjustments on inside of belt. Excellent condition. Plus the general’s four-star red metal car plate with two attachment holes at top. Accompanied by original leather cover. A desirable collection.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
