The Ohrdruf camp was a subcamp of Buchenwald was and the first camp liberated by U.S. troops. Created in November 1944, Ohrdruf supplied forced labor for railway construction. Group of seven photographs found in an album owned by an American soldier, each 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" b/w showing piles of bodies within the camps structures and lying in the dirt, some naked, along with another image showing a sign warning of mines. Also present are two photos taken at the Berghof, one showing a view from a blown-out window within the Berghof, a second showing the bombed-out garage. The album also contains photos of a visit to World War I Fort Driant, the Brenner Pass, scenic images from Pottenstein, July, 1945.
