This is followed by a further series of examples and problems, and then by a series of worked examples of calculations likely to be employed by paviers, glaziers, timber merchants, painters, masons, etc. There are numerous diagrams and occasional pencil sketches illustrating calculation such as the calculation of the angles of depression of two ships and the top of a lighthouse (p. 87).
