(1910)FIRST EDITION, piano vocal score, pages (4), 253, (3, blank), small folio, original blue printed cloth : the spine lightly and evenly worn but the binding sound and strong, with the inside hinges intact, otherwise a very good to nice copy.With a seven-line autograph letter, on printed letter-heading from 175 Strand Road, Merrion, Co Dublin, signed by the composer presenting this copy, tipped on to front flyleaf. The first opera to an Irish libretto. O'Dwyer (born 1860), native of Bristol, organist and composer of Irish parentage, conducted the Rousbey Opera 1891-96 and in 1897 settled in Dublin.
