Nyac, Alaska, 1976 .999 Gold Medal. This is a one-ounce gold medallion struck in 1976 to commemorate the centennial of the Sourdough Mine or the mining district in or around the Alaska city of Nyac. The medal is edge-stamped 822/1000 .999 FINE GOLD NYAC C. AWE 1976. This is a scarce Alaska piece with the low number struck and the high value of gold during the gold and silver melt of late 1979-80, further reducing the number of medals in the marketplace. The market value today is about $600-$700.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
