A court order, signed by Judge Michael Wallace, ordering a court hearing for a seized American fishing vessel. In small part, "...Whereas, the Honourable...Michael Wallace, Judge...Hath Decreed, all Persons in general, who have...any Right, Title...in a certain Schooner called the Violet of Dartmouth in the United States...and the Goods, Wares and Merchandise laden therein, Seized by Samual Chambers...Commander of His Majesty's Ship of War Dee, on the seventh Day of June 1817, in Port Negro Harbour...Nova-Scotia, and brought into the Port of Halifax...for Infringing Our Maritime Rights and Sovereignty, by using Our Territory, in North America, for Purposes connected with the Fishery...and Fishing therein...We Do therefore Charge...all Persons in general who have...Title...in the said Schooner...to appear before Our said Judge..."
