Shuttle Nose Cap Peripheral Tile Support. Aluminum angle support measures approximately 13? long, with a few remnants of the red Room Temperature Vulcanizing rubber still visible on the outer edges. Part contains an identification number, “V070 399416 044 BA9650.” There is also another number handwritten on the part, “383.1” referencing its weight in grams, which would have been logged as the part was removed from the shuttle. Although its status is unknown, this piece was possibly flown and would have been placed along the nose of the shuttle supporting the high temperature tiles just behind the nose cap.
