Norwegian Krag Model 1894 Bolt Action Rifle with Sling and Bayonet
The Model 1894 was the first Krag rifle adopted by the Norwegian Army and went into use in 1894 and remained the official army rifle until after World War II even though production stopped in January of 1929. The Model 1894 was also made for civilian target shooters. The top of the chamber is marked with a crown over script letter proof over "1919" (the year of manufacture). To the left of the date is a crown/script letter proof over the serial number and an unrecognizable mark. The left side of the stock directly ahead of the receiver is a crown/script letter proof over the matching serial number over another crown/script letter proof. Blade front sight and tangent style rear sight graduated to 2.200 meters and mounted with a smooth one piece pistol grip stock with matching handguard. Complete with a cleaning rod, canvas sling and bayonet with smooth wooden handle and metal scabbard. The bayonet and scabbard are matched to each other, but not the gun.
