Northwest Trade Rifle, converted from flintlock to percussion, NVSN, .64 cal., 36'' barrel, brown finish, full-length walnut stock, brass band near muzzle, brass serpent sideplate, decorative brass turtle added just forward of triggerguard, with seven rivet brass buttplate. Barrel features London proof and view mark, with the barrel mark of Robert Barnett. (See page 239 of the book, ''Firearms of the Fur Trade'', by Hanson.) Condition is fine as converted with moderate general overall brown patina, clear proofs to barrel, and fine detail to serpent sideplate.
