This is an excellent 1800’s stretched rawhide warrior’s drum from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The drum shows a stretched rawhide parfleche on both sides with sinew rawhide zig-zag sewing on the sides. The hide is stretched over a metal ring. The hide has a rich original patina along with a nice patina on the metal ring, overall a nice representation of this pieces authentic 19th Century Age. Provenance: The piece is from a prominent Billings, Montana Crow and Montana Indian collection. This is truly a fantastic authentic example. This drum measures 2 3/4" thick with a diameter of 13 1/2".
