This is a rare authentic original piece with provenance from the Historic Lammers Trading Post in Hardin, Montana circa 1917. This was authenticated and sold by Skinner Inc. Auction Co. in their Discovery Country Americana Sale 2497 3-17-2010 sale. The piece features a dance tomahawk with solid brass trade tacked and filed burned shaft being beaver fur wrapped and having an etched metal tomahawk blade or head. The piece has two tags across the bottom fringe: one saying, "A-70" and the other "White Swan Family". This is a rare and documented piece shows overall very good condition. Measures overall 26.5"L x 10"W with an additional 33"L drop beaver and Indian hide fringe.
