The lot features a Northen Plains Beaded Knife Sheath and 19th Century Gamblers Trade Dagger. The dagger shows a Buffalo Bison or Steer horn grip wrapped in copper braided wire with a brass hilt and pommel. The dagger shows an acid etched hallmark that is not destinguishable. The sheath shows early glass trade seed beads in light greasy yellow, sky blue, red, and blue. The sheath is constructed of Indian tanned hide with long cut fringe on each edge and a yellow ocher mineral dye. Knife is 9"L with a 5.25"L double edge blade. Sheath is 15"L with top strap and fringe. Provenance: This is from a large Native American & Early American artifact private collection in Iowa.
