This is a beaded necklace from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The necklace shows all 19th century glass trade seed beads on trade cotton. This has a rich yellow and dark blue colored beads and braided design. The necklace is from circa 1910-1920's. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed.. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. Necklace is 29" long strung. Has museum tags.
