This is an early original Northern Pacific Railroad Signal Light & Pole. The piece was recovered in the Livingston Bozeman Montana area. The piece appears to be complete and shows the light, glass lens, pole, mounting base, and back attached metal ladder. This is from the James Edgerley OR&W 7.5" Gauge Live Steam Ride-On Railroad collection in Bozeman, Montana. This measures overall as it is in the pictures 14ft 4in H x 40"W x 80"D. The light appears to be 36" diameter across with a 16" long shade. These are very hard to come by and only a few are for sale with one nearly the same listed in TN for $4,500. Box on base and back of light are marked in raised lettering, "U.S.&S. Co. Made in U.S.A."
