Lot of 5: 1) Slug plate reads GEO. WISSEMANN SACRAMENTO CAL. on this amber one pint shoo fly pocket flask. Footed base, screw top with metal cap. Wissemann was the proprietor of Restaurant de France at 427-429 K St. He was also an agent for Pabst Blue Ribbon, according to an 1893 Sacramento city directory. 2) THE SENATE HENDRIX & SHARKEY WINES & LIQUORS OROVILLE, CAL. on this one pint, lightly sun washed coffin flask with severe damage. Single collar, neatly applied, un-ground top. Hendrix went into business with Walter Sharkey and in 1904, they opened The Senate, located on Montgomery St. They remained in business until about 1915 [Ref: Picnics, Coffins, Shoo-Flies, John L. Thomas, 1974]. 3 & 4) HERMAN FISCHER WINE & LIQUORS DIXON on this 5 oz. shoo-fly pocket flask. Clear glass, sun tinted, air vented, small bubbles in glass, neatly applied double collar, un-ground top. Herman Fischer was born in Germany in 1861, immigrated to America in 1881, and was in business as a saloon owner in 1899 [Ref: Ancestry.com]. 5) Bottle reads HANFORD LIQUOR STORE VUCOVICH BROS. This is a fifth clear glass, with neatly applied single collared un-ground top. Listed in Wilson as being from 1910-1916. There are a few small bubbles. - Feisel Collection -59286
