<B>North Carolina Gold Company Stock Certificate.</B></I> Partially printed document, two pages, 10.5" x 6.25", New York, May 2, 1854. This certificate is made out to a Chauncey Bush for one hundred shares. The document's central vignette is of a classical figure holding a caduceus, fasces and scales amid a commercial landscape. A secondary image below shows a medieval alchemist working in his laboratory. The verso is imprinted with transfer docketing. Light browning, fine condition.
