This is a collection of North Butte Mining Company items. Included is a 1905 ledger book, safety rules, overtime card, a tool check token, a 1919 annual report for the company, and an article from the "Engineering and Mining Journal". The North Butte Mining Company was operated near Butte, Montana from 1905 until copper prices fell and forced the mine to close in about 1921. It was leased for many years by various mining outfits until the lands were eventually sold out to the Anaconda Copper Mining Company in 1952. The ledger book contains entries for mining stocks that were surrendered (cashed in). This is a unique and RARE collection. All the items are in good condition. The ledger book measures 12.5" x 17".
