Over 800 rare and museum quality items gathered from several Vancouver and Vancouver Island estates featuring a very rare Nuu-chah-nulth painted cedar mask ca. 1825. Grey Owl collection including his pipe tomahawk, beaded knife sheath and letter opener. "Custer's Last Stand" beaded breastplate with family provenance to 1910. Over 150 fine old Northwest coastal and interior baskets: Thompson and Fraser Rivers, fully imbricated Lillooet storage and trinket baskets, Nuu-chah-nulths and Makahs, several exceptionally fine Tlingit and Haidas including a superb painted hat from the Mark Ward collection, two basketry fishing creels, rare bait and hook bag, several early figured Wasco baskets, Cowlitz, Klikitats, fine old Nez Perce corn husk bags, beadwork of all description, very fine Cree beaded and tacked chaps ca. 1900. A collection of mountain goat, sheep and wood ladles, collection of argillite totems include Rufus Moody and Capt. Andy Brown, also several rare 19th C. Haida shaman's amulets. Exceptional wood carvings: rare late 19th C. Kwagiulth kwekwe dance mask, old Inuit mask with original feathers and attachments, Ellen Neel totem, seven Charlie James totems 7"- 25", 19th C. shaman wolf totem, Tlingit carved seal bowl ca. 1900 and a large 19th C. bent wood grease box, 19th C. Kwagiulth copper rattle, two superb Inuit model kayaks 20"- 46", fine Inuit soapstone carvings, Robert Davidson carved gold bracelet, finely carved gold box, several Haida coin silver bracelets, Robert Davidson silkscreens, painting by Norval Morrisseau, stone mauls and arrowheads, contemporary masks include four by Beau Dick, fine old Navajo rugs, catlinite pipes, Southwest kachinas and pottery, trade beads, jewelry and much more….
