North African Snaphance F/L Musket from 19th century with 20th century restock in bone carved and polished panels to look like ivory. Hand hammered white metal alloy inlays and bands mounted in coral and turquoise. Metal very rusty with some pitting. Stock very good. Chieftans in middle East retained these heirloom firearms as male jewelry and sign of importance long after practical use. Bedouin chiefs carried such weapons when met by General Patton in WWII. Est.: $750 - $1500.
